SNS-type pumps are, by design, centrifugal, horizontal and multistage sectional pumps.
Operating principle of SNS-type pumps:
In this type of pump, the fluid flow is transferred sequentially through several impellers mounted on a single shaft. The pump body consists of separate sections. The number of sections is one less than the number of impellers, since one of the impellers is located in the casing cover. The sectional design allows the pressure to be increased or decreased without changing the capacity.

SNSg pumps:
Purpose: for pumping water with temperatures up to +105°C.
Applications:

SNSm pumps:
Purpose: for pumping T22 grade turbine oil in the temperature range from +2°C to +60°C.
Applications:
In turbogenerator oil systems, for supplying oil to seal bearings.
SNSn pumps:
Purpose: for pumping media saturated with up to 90% water, gas-enriched and commercial oil with temperature from 0 to +45°C, density 700-1050 kg/m³, kinematic viscosity up to 1.5*10⁻⁴ m²/s.
Applications:
Field oil collection and transport systems.
Maximum gas content 3%, paraffin content up to 20%.
Temperature may rise up to +60°C, but in that case a forced bearing cooling system is required.
SNSp pumps:
Purpose: for pumping water and other non-aggressive liquids with pH 7-9.2, temperature up to +120°C, mechanical impurity mass fraction not exceeding 0.1% and particle size not larger than 0.1 mm.
Applications:
Water supply for small and medium-power steam boilers;
Pressure boosting systems;
Construction of industrial installations, public and residential buildings;
Providing hot and cold water circulation.
